This legendary McIntosh C29 preamp is an absolute beauty and pairs incredibly well with both Mac solid state amps as well as tube. In fact, many prefer a solid state preamp with their mac tubes so that only the amplifier is coloring the sound. The C29 also sports a speaker control socket to be used with the SCR2 Speaker Control Relay. We also have several pristine L12 walnut cabinets available, for more of a vintage look. As is typical with McIntosh pieces from this era, a few small bubbles have appeared behind the glass, but they fade away at a listening distance, leaving you with clean, classy sound.

Vintage McIntosh is worth every penny. They sound great, are reliable and conservatively engineered, and parts and service support is great even on 60 year old gear.
